Birthday post!

| | Comments: (9)

Aaahhh, welcome back to me and to you, if there's still anyone out there reading this! :D
In case you didn't know, I've been disconnected for few days, and I've like ten posts still to do to catch up with my current manicure...

But this one is just so special to me, because it's mainly about a package I got from my Polish fairy ♥ :D

Yeah, I got it for my birthday last month, but that's not the main reason why I loved it so much; just look at the colours:

(direct sun)

Sabbatha always sends me a packet full of my ideal hues, how not to love her? Later I'll give a name to each bottle :>

I just have to mention another small packet I received from Lisa the very same day, a total surprise for me!

It contained two Look by BIPA colours: long story short: I was desperately seeking the one on the left, called "Metallic Hollogram" (swatch here), asked her about it long time ago, she then remembered it and bought it for me, together with another colour, "Purple-green" (swatched here from Nagellackprinzessin). Thank you so much, Lisa!

The Avon blue on the right is a charity purchase - *wink wink* -, it's called "Cosmic Blue".

Ok, time to name the Polish bottles!

1) Savina "Electric Green": this one is a complete stunner, in the bottle is a medium silvery glitter green, but while on the nails it gets ELECTRIC, SATURATED and the greeniest green, take a look here!

2) Colour Alike n. 205 (swatch here), dupe of L'Oreal n. 624 (swatch here).
I think I'll wear it over something else, I like the lime shine which turn peachy pink °_°

3) THE surprise item! China Glaze "DV8", an original CG holo *_*

4) Colour Alike n. 480 (swatch here), Spookynails describes it as the blue "Ruby Pumps", guess I don't need to add anything more :D

5) SpaRitual "Ebb & Flow" mini bottle! It contains only 5ml of nailpolish, but the small bottle is so cute :D

6) Colour Alike n. 209, a total masterpiece!

7) My Secret n. 163 "Blue Angel", deep indigo base with blue miniglitters :3

8) Colour Alike (again! This brand really needs to open sales here in Italy :D ) n. 474, navy blue base and SHINY silver glitter-flecks *__________*

9) Inglot n. 203 ♥ ♥ ♥ I specifically requested this flakies because here in Italy we only have the classic ones - orange/green and blue/violet, I just needed the green/lime in my collection - plus, Inglot is half priced in Poland :D

I've made a quick swatch cap, don't ask me why I didn't swatched all the colours, because I've no idea:

Do you need further details? Just let me know!

Have a nice day/night/whatever and thanks for your attention ;¬)

Some new Kiko nailpolishes swatches

| | Comments: (13)

This is kinda service post :D

New Kiko shades finally arrived in stores, we now have Mirrors, SugarMat and the colours of the new spring-summer collection.

I just took the chance and swatched some of them.
All one thickish coat.

WARNING: if you see cracks or lines in the nailpolish, that's only because it doesn't stick on scotch tape once dried: I got back home and I discovered that many of the swatches fell off the tape and cracked, lol, so I had to re-compose them with tweezers :D
N. 622 cracked in three parts :(

SugarMat are quite interesting, but I only liked the glittery versions, because of their deepness: cremes are boring and look awful to me :^[

Mirrors aren't for me at all, but I thought they could have been useful for someone out there :>

N. 423 and 424 are from Colours of The World collection.
They're both just my cup of tea, but I only picked the blue one - so far :D
It's great: blue-tealish base and blue-pink-purple particles/chunkies, not common glitters, very nice one!
Questions? Leave them in comments, I'll reply as soon as possible :>

EDIT: I tried adding a layer of top coat over some SugarMat, and they literally melted like plastic on fire :D

Have a nice day/night/whatever and thanks for your attention ;¬)

Latest Kikos and Essences: swatches and comparisons - pt. 1

| | Comments: (8)

First and LAST time doing those typical swatches - you put on a varnish, take pics and then remove it, and go on with the cycle :D -, I mean, how could you girls do it so easy? It takes a looooot of time!
Anyway, result is pretty useful, I think :>

I decided to split swatches in two posts, to avoid the avalache of pics, so you'll see soon the second part.

I started comparing two duochromes I immediately imagined very similar each other: well, they are, but fortunately not so similar.

Fontana Contarini n. 75 and Essence "Where's The Party" are both purple/green duochromes, so I put them near to spot differences:

Angled shot in full sun - front shot in full sun - in shade.

No base coat, no top coat.
FC was two coats, WTP needed three.
FC has a blue base and green shimmer, which became strong gold/lime in the sun and angled.
WTP is a grey base full of shimmer which is purple on front and blue/green in the sun angled.
Shade pic shows they're pretty different :>

Next comparison: Essence "Choose Me!" and "Out Of My Mind".
I said before they have the same colours, but different finishes and effects:

Angled shot in full sun - front shot in full sun - in shade.

No base coat, no top coat.
CM! was two coats, OOMM three.
See the pink/purple duochrome of OOMM in the angled shot? Very pretty.
It's so luminous even in shade, like a green glow.

Last for this post, two blues.
Nihrida asked for swatches and possible dupes for my last Kikos, so I did my best to find similar colours in my Helmer - and, to be honest, it was difficult, at least that means I buy wisely :^D

These are Kiko n. 336 and H&M "Blue My Mind":

No base coat, no top coat.
Both two coats.

Look at the first shot in the upper half of picture: even to the naked eye, when you place them side by side they look almost dupes, but on nails they aren't anymore: n. 336 is deeper, darker and brighter than BMM. So glossy too.
I LOVE blues, so I'm satisfied, no dupes here.

Second part will be published soon :>
