FIVE colours!

This is not a post about five new colours I got :D

I LOVE sheer colours, but I see them always layered something else more pigmented...
So this time I tried them all together - well, not really all, just... five!

These are the characters:

One coat each of:

- Shaka n. 800 "Glossy Blue" (swatched on cap solo here);

- Basic Beauty n. 46PE, it added a crystal depth;

- Essence "City That Never Sleeps";

- Max Factor "Fantasy Fire";

- Deborah 3DTech Top Coat n. 102.

I applied them in the order I pictured them above, and that's all :>

As always, it was 10 times better in real life, but I think you get the general idea :D

It lasted several days too; I think I used the "Better Than Gel Nails" top coat by Essence, but I guess my beloved clear nailpolish would have been perfect as well.

Pupa n. 032, bought when Pupa put holos and others on sale, and Layla "Flash Black", brought to me (at a lower price) by Stregalice <3

H&M "Fantasy Ocean", still don't know if it's the tenth teal-with-gold-shimmer I own...

Next, the new Shakas: together with the holos, Shaka released some "collections": the only one I could recognize is the one dedicated to planets, but honestly I don't know the others - and I repeat, Shaka's site is awful.
Anyway:

Shaka n. 660 "Ternder" (spelling mistake, I suppose :D), n. 670 "Deep Passion" (look!), n. 775 "Forever Green", n. 860 "Universe" (the one in the "planets" collection).

These colours are to die for, so I decided to make some cap-swatches:
 

N. 860 "Universe" has a dark teal base with electric blue shimmer *_*
N. 660 "Ternder" has a beautiful and glowing pink accent in a lavender base; a little watery, though.

Next, the masterpiece, in my humble opinion:

N. 670 "Deep Passion" has a blue base and DEEP red shimmer, I BET this will be STUNNING once on my nails <3 <3 <3

N. 775 "Forever Green" looks teal in the bottle and grass green on cap, but I've discovered it's a blued green jelly: here I put just one coat (quite saturated!), I think two coats will be enough and more similar to bottle's colour, even if not so dark.

Next, thanks to a blogger whose name I can't recall now, I bought the polish on the left straight after I read her post on Rimmel's "Night Before" :D

Since that I already own "Blue Me Away", I decided for a small comparison:

"Night Before" is darker and less blue, while "Blue Me Away" is absolutely blue °_°

Shimmer (which is lightly duochrome, by the way) is the very same, I think, only inserted in a different jellish base.

Some lovely italian girls send me "Grumpy" from the Snow White Essence LE, you all know how much I love electric blues <3

And I picked a couple of Basic Beauty for me, there were an offer on all the makeup items...

N. 76, the purple one, is VERY dark, very vampy.
N. 67PE, is a magenta PURE jelly (picture show it lighter). Yes, it's the third pink jelly from BB I own, I'll do a comparison in the future when I'll come back home.
BB, why don't you make more colours in jelly formula? :°°°

Gradient: Shaka - n. 725 Pop Green + Basic Beauty - n. 71PE

Yes, another gradient, this time with cremes :>

After four (almost five) days of wearing "Pop Green", I get bored and I decided to try sponging a new colour on it. What's better than a blue? :D

To be honest, result was great, for being my first time, I'd say make-up sponge is the key - and delicate patting on surface, more than one time :>

If you see an area where the two colours didn't melt together, you just have to retouch it with a light touch of sponge, always coated (lightly) with the two colours. That's it :>

I LOVED this, both for the colour I chose and the final effect, it's so refreshing :>

Clearly, it's better to choose colours which go well each other, I think this jade green blends very well in the blue.

This time, I topped it with the Essence "Better Than Gel Nails" top coat sealer, don't know why :D

 I tried a picture with flash, but it came all washed out, anyway shows the nice transition between the two colours :>

May flowers

Welcome back in my blog (to me!) :D

This time, for those who love nailpolish bottles pictures and info, here's a feast for your eyes :>

From left:

- Pupa Holographic n. 039 "Taupe". Bought for wearing it at a wedding, but then I opted for the "Violet" one, n. 035 (not pictured, blogpost will be up soon).

- Models Own "Indian Ocean": you really need description? :D

- Basic Beauty n. 50PE, electric glassfleck blue, just like this one :> (maybe a tad darker?)

- Another berry jelly from Basic Beauty! This is n. 70PE, first one (n. 68PE) I showed you here.

Rember this multichrome Layla? It has the same colours of "Indian Ocean", so I tried layer two coats of it under one of "Indian Ocean", this is the result:

"Indian Ocean" is sheer, you already know it, but with a nude base you can wear it alone without problems, two coats are anough.

To be honest, I tried it over dark bases too, but didn't photograph it, sorry.

Next, here we have my two new jellies, and a little comparison :>

Strange thing is that the lightest jelly covers better than the darker, I put two coats of n. 68 and three of n. 70.

Anyway, they're so pretty, you can use them as bases too ♥

Then, we have two lonely pretties:

- Rimmel "Pompous", a shimmery purple (bought because it was on offer :D );

- H&M "Aqua Splash", clear base with aqua coloured microglitters. I like it!

Below we have two Essies: Essie began selling nailpolish here in Italy in some different beauty stores around Italy like a month or two ago, but I got these bottles in two different places.

First one is "Dive Bar": look at it! Deep teal-purple duochrome, I know it will rock on my nails even if purple won't show up completely *________*

I bought because I loved it, but I spent €11,90 >.<

Second one, one of the bluest blue I own: "Aruba Blue"; bought few days after, for €5, at a charity sale :D

Aaaand... a pop of PINK :D Hot pink, properly speaking.

I got these two Pupa neons thanks to Elsa, who find them at a lower price, and since that I'm on a neon spree this spring...

(pink one laid over my latest pink buyings :D)

- purple (not so purple, you see), is n. 053.

Last, my de-doubled Essences!

For those who still don't know it, you can easily separate double nailpolishes simply by pulling bottles, one in each hand.

April's stuff

... Stuff I got in April.
Oh my, lately I'm getting so many bottles. Beautiful bottles *_* :D

From left:

- Berry-magenta JELLY from Basic Beauty, n. 68PE. How rare is a jelly nailpolish here in Italy? And it won't even be the only one in this post!

- Debby n. 186, blackish base filled with blue/purple glitters (not big size, almost a shimmer). Impulsive purchase :D

- Basic Beauty n. 15: pink-mauve creme. A little runny, but I think it will be awesome on nails. Feminine, but not corny :D

- Debby n. 175: dark emerald metallic. Another impulsive purchase...

Next pic shows the two Debby in detail:

And below you see a comparison: n. 175 reminded me of a glorious Essence discontinued green, "All Access", and I thought they were almost dupes, looking at the bottles, but my cap-test reveals they're different:

Then, a franken: remember this Sinful Colors "Let Go"? I tried to improve this colour by adding some scoops of Specktraflair pigment, but I'm not sure about the result: I got a semi-sheer lilac wiht a STRONG green reflect (but a little frosted) and holographic side.

 

Bottom part of the picture shows one coat of the franken over Essence "Passion For Fashion": in direct sun you can see the holo rainbow and the green side (it has been difficult to catpure it)... I have to try it again and find a good colour base.


Next, my first magnetics... Of course a purple and a blue :D

Upper, Prestige Bijoux, n. 03 "Topaz". It's just the purple I was looking for, cold and dimensional.

Bottom, Debby n. 4, "Neptune": it's a blue which reveals violet when magnetized = ♥ ♥

Then, more Shaka gems:

First one, "Storm" (great name :D ), it's a rich semi-glassflecked nailpolish, you know my tastes :D

The other two are jellies! DARK jellies ♥

I don't understand, how it could be possible? :D

And now a demostration: look at the sheerness; these are one coat each, and you can see they're actually a purple and a blue, even if, to the naked eye, in the bottles they look VERY similar.

I wanna try them alone and see how many coats they require to cover the nails :D

But I know many of you thought about glitter sandwiches :D ^_^

New March things... Again, pt. 1 :D

Finally a post.
And finally a little time to write it :D

This time, some new colours I got in March.
Bad news (for me only, don't worry): I think I lost the total count of my polishes, I don't remember anymore if I included all the new bottles in the grandtotal >.<

Anyway, Apothica gave me the opportunity to shop some makeup items, and I obviously chose nailpolishes :D

From top:

1) Essie "Lilacism", you know I love cold lilacs/lavenders. And it was in my WL ^_^

2) Sparitual "Blue Moon", this is absolutely stunning: an inky-jelly blue base ♥ with pink-bronze glitter, I didn't know it was so amazing.

3) Sparitual "Health, Wealth & Happiness": this is a purple-wine base ♥ with duochromy blue shimmer, can you guess how much awesome is it?

I knew this brand, but never tried their products before, they're quite pricy for my usual range, so I was happy to have the chance to grab a couple of them.
They make great colours, not boring and they're vegan :>

I thank Apothica for this present, they have a great selection of luxurious brands and an efficient customer care, but just two flaws: super-heavy shipping costs and a limited access to nailpolish collections, because not all the colours you see in the site can be shipped outside USA :^/
Keep that in mind, European girls :>

On to the next picture, these are impulsive buyings, no excuses.
Ok, I like them, but... you know how I feel :D

From left:

1) Nouba n. 454, a clear base filled with chunks of multicoloured flakies; yes, chunks.
I think they put flakies in a blender and turn it on for like two seconds, then put the result in these tiny 7ml bottles :D
THE flaw, as usual, is the price: I don't remember it, but it's somewhat more than €5?

2) Shaka n. 725, "Pop Green": impulsive buying, because I have something similar, but this a little bluer and has that delicious jelly-like consistency I LOVE. €1,99 :>

3) Basic Beauty n. 71PE (lol, I love number names, don't know why all the girls detest them :D this has letters too :D ): a beautiful blue creme, in reality it's a liiiiiiiiitle muted than Kiko n. 295, but, ok, I admit it, they're very similar, it's just that n. 295 is one of my favourite blues :D

Next, a LOVELY swap with my Swiss nailpolish fiend Lisa, who find me the Essence Crazy Good Times TE bottles I wanted <3

From left:

1) n. 04 "Confetteria", blue jelly base ♥ with silver hexs (which are blue thanks to the base) and green-blue-gold glitters *_*

2) n. 02 "Princessorize": no, I' not going to wear this alone, but I read in blogs it was sheer, so I thought it would look amazing over blues and purples, because of its so pretty sparkling glitters.
It's very electric, trust me.

3) Surprise, Lisa find me the holo top coat from the Re-mix Your Style TE, n. 01 "Just Can't Get Enough"! So now I have three :>
Not only this top coat is a pretty scattered holographic, but it has a nice pink-bronze side I tried to show you:

Basic Beauty - n. 24 + Essence - Glisten Up!

BIG FAIL mani :^(

The ugliest by now, and I had to wear it one entire week, because these days I didn't found any time to remove it.

I wanted to try one of the newest Basic Beauty I posted about days ago, and I chose n. 24, but once on nails I discovered it was horrible, lol :D
Colous is sheer, streaking, takes years to dry a little and it's pearled - * arrrghh *

After three coats, it was a mess, I didn't even take pictures of it by itself, and decided to improve it by adding Essence's "Glisten Up!"...

You're looking at three coats of n. 24 and two coats of "Glisten Up!" = bubbles and thickness.
It was pretty useless to watermark this photo, I think anyone would ever want to stole it for who knows why :D

To be honest, after two days of wearing this crap, I added another coat of something new I bought this week, but I didn't bother to take pictures again, because it really didn't worth it, even if this something new is beautiful and I'm sure it will give me great satisfaction in the future :D

Kiko - n. 295 (and a couple of new arrivals)

Another shade impossible to photograph, at least for my little humble camera: n. 295 is a cyan colour; looking at the Wikipedia Cyan's page, the hue I find the closest to this nailpolish is the one named Cyan (subtractive primary), on the right.

But in real life this polish is blindfully BRIGHT, the same effect you experience with the famous "Blue My Mind" by H&M.

See how my nails look flat, just like a one-colour block?
This is because of the brightness of n. 295, it makes my camera crazy.

These are two coats WITHOUT top coat: I applied it after dinner (ok, around 1:00 AM...) and I didn't have time to top coat it too.
Easy application, zero problems, fast dry, just a little retouch with brush and remover... I LOVE it!

Unfortunately it's difficult to picture it in daylight too, as to the naked eye is a little darker yet so vivid:

This is under a halogen lamp, so vibrant and more closer to the real effect :>

I searched for photos of Barry M's "Cyan Blue", but I don't know if it has the same effect than n. 295, but according to pictures, they are similar.
Don't know why, though, I think Kiko's one is brighter (and better :D)...


EDIT about wear: 4 days of good-looking nails, for being without topcoat it's a great time!


Let's see my new arrivals: Basic Beauty "published" some new colours, especially a LOT of greens, and I chose these two... mints? Well, one is definitely a mint, the other one is more of a spring leaf green:

(n. 03 on the left, n. 24 on the right)

N. 03 is a mint with the typical pearl-non pearl shimmer, lol, don't know if you understand what I mean :D
This type of shimmer softens the colour without making it look like an old streaking aged pearled nailpolish :P

N. 24 is an interesting sweet shade of green with the same fine shimmer and it's spiced up with a fine green glitter not so evident, but noticeable and very nice, see it better in ther next pic:

I believed I already owned two colour like these, but it wasn't so, therefore I'm pleased I still have a right eye for new (to me) items :D

Basic Beauty n. 127 + Gosh - Rainbow

Want a fast change of your look? Flakies are THE answer :D

They're like black, go well with EVERYTHING.
So, what happens when you layer them on a dark, yet shiny grey polish? I feared for this layering being too much, instead I obtained awesomeness!

I love them under every kind of light, and over such a metallic base, they make my nails look like made of copper or bronze! Not to mention changes of colours, as you can see... All with just one coat of "Rainbow" :>
