End of summer, start of autumn new adds

| | Comments: (8)

Little number on the left keeps increasing, who knows why?

On to the new adds! (there are more coming, to be honest...)

Clockwise:

- Essence Colour&Change "Unexpected Galaxy": this is one of those nailpolishes which changes thanks to top coat (it works also with just clear nail polish) and the only colour I liked. Foily foil purple, more cool than warm;

- Essence "Chic Reloaded", most expected by me from the new Colour&Go range :D Really deep duochrome, NOT a dupe of "Where's The Party?", we'll see that later;

- Sinful Colors "Cinderella": ahhhhhh, some new SC arrived here in Italy, price has been lowered under €4, and I found this gem which I really liked after seeing it on many many other blogs <3

- and... Sinful Colors "Nail Junkie", which I know it's an old shade for US girls, but finally I was able to find it here!

- Essence "Oh My Glitter!", you've probably already seen it swatched here and there, very beautiful lilac purple with pink, blue and gold micro-chunks *_*

Below the comparison between "Where's The Party?" and "Chic Reloaded".
You can easily notice that they're really different, and shift one the colour of the other :D

When one is green, the other one is purple and vice-versa :D

Next, some italian stars.
As long as I hate Pupa prices, I gave up in front of the China Doll collection, and bought four out of six colours (I left a nanny pearl pink and an orangey red).

Must admit that these colours aren't the most original (the deep red is seen also under Misa, OPI, and others I don't even remember...), but, just look at the deepness °_°

From top: n. 619, n. 410 (it's a true purple in real life, not that blue), n. 732, n. 731.

They're like jewels, colours are so intense I think they're all one coater :>

Below, a comparison with another italian gem I bought some time ago.
This is Shaka "Deep Passion" on the right:

I thought they were dupes, and technically they are, just in different concentrations: Pupa has more shimmer, so it's more pigmented, while Shaka is more sheer, but also more blue, which is a plus for me :D
Two beauties *________*

H&M buyings: "Free Your Mind", blue with purply-lilac and silver shimmer or micro-glitters, and "New Moon", gold flakies top coat.

One word about those new real silver and gold top coats: I think they're a huge waste of money, and I can't believe some girls go "oooohhh" and "aaahhhh" over these, are they so stupid? You pay too much for a nailpolish, put real gold on your nails and then remove it after few days and throw it away? Let me say: LOL

Marketing is so powerful, they would even be able to make girls buy a nailpolish made out of po*p, if only they wanted to.

Sorry for anyone who will get offended, I know I'm sometimes grumpy and rude, but I just can't stand these... things.

Last new essence I liked: "Crack Me! Pearly Pink", which is a glitter crack nailpolish, but it's not pearl and it's not really pink, more fuchsia...
Infact, in real life colour is MUCH more intense.

New amazing colours - pt. 2

| | Comments: (10)

Welcome to pt.2 :D

Not only buyings, here, but a swap too: as usual, my nailpolish-fairy Sabbatha gave me some bottles I had in my WL... Must be sort of a nailpolish-mine hidden somewhere in a forest in Poland, and she knows how to extract them :D

From top:

- Sally Hansen "Purple Gala" ;

- Sally Hansen "Mystic Lilac";

- Essie "Turquoise&Caicos" ;

- bonus: NatRobbins "Greed" , well pictured (and compared) here. I guess this would be a gorgeous layering green too, because it's pretty sheer on its own, but gives a great green metallic effect when pur over something else.

Some days ago, I compulsively purchased two beauties from Stargazer which I had pinned in my mind after buying the first two:

These are n. 303 the blue one ("Lunar Eclipse" dupe? I hope so :D) and n. 305 the purple one, I'll leave you just with the pictures :D
They're beautiful, cheap, 14ml and you can find them on eBay.

Then, I wanna try wearing a crackle nailpolish on its own, trying to cover the entire nail; that's because I found this great indigo-with-gold-and-green-irregular-shaped-glitters which I would LOVE as a regular nail varnish:

Obviously a Deborah crackle, n. 04.

As you may have noticed, Deborah (and Debby) is growing in terms of interesting offers to italian nailpolish fanatics: lately, they released five shades with that batch of metallic pigments we've admired in Sephora's "Diving in Malaysia", Chanel's "Péridot" and another million of sub-brands :D

By now, I just took n. 71 "Scarabeo Green" with me, as the other ones are dupes of other Chanel/Sephora colours - there's a couple of them I'm still interested in, but I don't want to buy the tenth purple/green duochrome or the third "Péridot" dupe, so I'll have to scan them very carefully...
Stregalice bought more bottles and did comparisons, take a look!

I searched for a similar shade in my Helmer, and found Kiko n. 352: they contain undoubtedly the same pigment, but consistency, base and formula aren't the same at all:

Test on cap: see the difference? N. 71 is clearly waaaaayy more dense and saturated (it's like green molted metal bottled), while Kiko has a grey base, silver glitters and, I suppose, a lighter amount of blue-green colour in it.

Angled view shows it's the same pigment.

Layla - Ceramic Effect n. 04 (+ Essence - "Crack Me! Blue")

| | Comments: (5)

Lol, Layla on my nails for the third time, I swear it was totally unintentional :D

This time, a mild colour which I like so much, it's a shade in between pink and lilac, with a suuubtle white-y silvery shimmer...

Being from the Ceramic Effect range, it lays perfectly on nails, giving them a very smooth surface, look at the next picture :>
At last, a claimed performance which WORKS!
You can also notice the delicate shimmer which softens the colour and makes it a little deeper than a simple creme nailpolish...

I used two coats of n. 04 over one coat of Essence's "No More Drama", just because I knew Layla it's a tad sheer and needs three coats on its own to be full opaque.
I still don't know how to categorize it: is it a pink or a lilac/purple shade?

Five days later, I added one coat of the Essence latest blue cracking nailpolish, "Crack Me! Blue": it's a lovely metallic cracking shade, but I didn't like this combo very much, the base colour was too light, seems like I applied the cracking varnish on my naked nails...

Oh well, nothing bad, I just wanted to hide two or three chips I had after some days of wearing :>

This shade doesn't contain B3F (not like this one); I don't really pay much attention to this, because one day the ingredient A is toxic, the other day it's the B one... I try to stay away from B3F in general, I strictly avoid "made in China" anonymous products (no one dollar/euro shops!), but I think that if you're very careful with such things and like this Layla, you can buy it without twisting your conscience :D

Blue addicted!

| | Comments: (8)

It's not a news, that I'm addicted to blue, and now that Essence made this "Blue Addicted" nailpolish... I've got to get it :D

From left:

- Essence "Hard To Resist", metallic BLUE.

- Essence Cracking Top Coat "Crack Me! Blue": same identical spitting appearance of "Hard To Resist", but it cracks.

- Essence "Blue Addicted", you already know, Lippmann's "Across The Universe" dupe.

- Rimmel "Blue Me Away", I got it thanks to maisenzasmalto, who gave it to me as a present since it was in my wishlist and she's not a blue girl like me :D (thank you!).

Why I love it so much? Because it's a so special blue:

To be honest, I'm not so sure it's a true blue...

Close-up of "Crack Me! Blue": these new Essence blues are so... blue! Almost purples, I really like deep blues like this :>

piCture pOlish - Denim + Debby - Crack n. 01

| | Comments: (9)

Hi there!

After wearing "Denim" for a couple days, I decided to extend its wear by applying a layer of the only crackling nailpolish I own (introduced here), n. 01 by Debby :>

I then applied a layer of top coat, but nails mantained the texture, surface wasn't smooth and I LOVED it :D
Doesn't it look like a sort of a blue reptile's skin? ♥

Unstoppable!

| | Comments: (11)

I'm talking about me buying little bottles... And I reached 200 of them! :D

First two: Revlon "Royal" and Deborah "Rainbow Blazer":

No, I didn't retouch pictures or anything, nor is the blue a reflection from "Royal",
rainbow is REALLY that visible!

Finally I caved and bought the other Deborah I liked (here's the first post about these new Deborah).
Nice, don't you find? Lower part of picture shows the base colour, it's like a reddish chocolate brown - definitely NOT my colour, but I can't resist to multichromes (or iridescent?) shades, so due to the fact it's pretty sheer too, I think I'll use it for layerings :>

About Revlon "Royal", you already know it, if you own it...
If you don't have it yet, it's THE royal blue jelly polish, a shade I'm literally IN LOVE, and you can see it from the next picture, where I compared the other two pure blue jellies I own:

From left: Layla Ceramic Effect n. 13; Layla Bijou n. 208 and Revlon "Royal".

They're absolutely the same polish, lol; n. 208 is a tad lighter probably just because I applied less liquid, but I can swear they're dupes.
Do you think I do care about that? No, and that's why I bought "Royal", I wanted a good supply of blue jelly!

Only flaw of "Royal" was that I had to pay customs fee - €11, mortacci loro(*).
It happened too when I bought "Mint Apple" by Sinful Colors (I had to pay €14, if I don't get wrong :^[ ), but regardless of that, Sinful Colors started selling polishes in Italy right after my purchase, at €4,90 each...
Luck isn't my best friend, I guess.

Bud did I say Sinful Colors?
Monday I made a trip to my local mine of Essences, and I found they had SC display too! I searched for "Daddy's Girl", instead I found - and liked and bought - "Hottie", a gorgeous cooold blue jelly with glitters of all shapes.
Did you already think about layering it over one of those blue jelly? I did!

Together with "Hottie", I decided to try a crack polish - obviously dark blue - so when I saw the new crack-polishes collection by Debby, the young division of Deborah, I picked n. 01, but there was a turquoise too, a mint, a yellow, a pink, etc.
Lately they expanded their range of colours, but I'm not very fond of them, don't know why well... Maybe I'm just trying to contain myself, they're usually €4,90 each for 7,5 ml, but this time I paid €3,90.
