First swap of the year...

| | Comments: (6)

... guess who's the other swapper? -.-°  :D

A bowl of nailpolishes!

Ok, now I can call these swaps a tradition: we gather bottles and makeup items, and every now and then we send parcels each other (I know, my turn now :P ); that's because I need some classic brands at low prices and awesome Polish colours, and she needs italians makeup products :^D
Sabbatha doesn't post about what she receives from me, maybe she's jealous of her new items? :•P

Aaaanyway, these are the colours:

Sorry for the ginormous image, I could've cut it better, but that's the best result I got with my humble camera...

Second part of row!

I didn't find any name or number on that mint Magic Visage, so I'm clueless about it.
If I remember correctly, this is a very cheap brand, but they seem to have a decent range of colours...

It's difficult to describe each one, and I don't think many of you would be that interested in descriptions, better looking at pictures!
So I took some closer shots, you can check finishes and reflects :>

Orly bottle is so tiny and cute :D
The mint in the back is a little greener in real life...

Savina "Purple Prince" is so awesome, a tad warmer than how it looks up above; if you want a preview, here it is - warning, it will make you want this nailpolish SO BAD!

Ebalay's from Whale, thank you dear!
I love these duochrome glassflecks, I have three in my WL!
You can admire A02 here, and here's the complete selection *_*

Do I have to tell you how much I love "Arabian Night"? Take a look at some swatches, if you don't know it yet! (pic from Sabbatha :> )

Aaah, dulcis in fundo, blue group ♥

"Total Mystery" is an electric blurple (blue base, pink-violet glasshimmer - hey a new word! :D ); Flormar is a gorgeous electric blue-jelly-glasshimmered nailpolish, to be used over something else, because is sheer - but clearly I don't care :D
Bottle is soooo tall, but I've already shortened it with a little saw, so now it stands proud in my Helmer's drawer :D
In this picture you can see the beautiful reflects in the little Sensique; base colour is dustier in real life (periwinkle?), I really like it!

That's all for now, did you eye anything that caught your interest?

Have a nice day/night/whatever and thanks for your attention ;¬)

No witty title, just fabulous colours :>

Yesss, another Spooky-swap :>

Sabbatha is my first nailpolish-mate, it's always a delight receiving a parcel from her, and I'm always in debt with her because of her kindness :>
She learnt fast my tastes and this time is just as GREAT as the others.
Sabbatha, you're my Santa! :D

But I was wondering: why show swaps in public? I don't know about you, but I filled a BIG part of my wishlist by looking at swap images too, because in them you can often find local precious (and inexpensive!) brands you might not be aware of, because they're unavailable in the country you live in....

We all know China Glaze, OPI, etc., but since the first swap with Sabbatha, I realized Poland is sometimes so much better than USA regarding nailpolish brands choice!
There are MANY brands, they have many ranges and colours are amazing, original, exciting; best part? They're CHEAP, and I say that in a good way, I mean: you SAVE your money and gain a top product.

So, Sabbatha, THANK YOU again!

Are you curious? :>

1) China Glaze "Rodeo Fanatic" - I don't like rodeos, just in case - BLUE!

2) Sensique Oriental Dream n. 259 "Moss Temple" (It's the exactly shade of "Green Brown" pigment by MAC made in a nailpolish formula)

3) Sensique Oriental Dream n. 265 "Sky Over Silk Road"

4) Sensique Oriental Dream n. 264 "Jewel Of the Orient" Sabbatha swatched all these three (and the others from the Oriental Dream collection) here and here. Now that I have them in front of me, I understand why she was so amazed, they really look like bottled silk shantung!

5) Wibo n. 352: this is more than a metallic golden olive, it's not a shimmer, VERY deep and very opaque.

6) Golden Rose Scale Effect n. 15: *____________* multicoloured flakies *____________*

7) Nyx "Jungle": in my WL since the first time I wrote it, I then bought a similar shade (and sent it to Sabbatha :D), but Nyx is much more deep and vivid.

8) Wibo n. 355, a blue a day, the doctor's gone away...

Close-up of the magnificent three: from top, "Sky Over Silk Road", "Jewel Of the Orient" and "Moss Temple".

Together with all these beauties, she even sent me a decant of her gorgeous franken:

Is it finished? NO! :D She gave me this pigment too!

IMPOSSIBLE to picture it!
I had to tweak colour, in order to show you as it is to the naked eye, and now that I upload this picture I'm blind, it's really as bright and ELECTRIC as above, just darker.
Colours like these look always lighter in pictures...

Hope you've found interesting items to add to your WL as well :P

Have a nice day/night/whatever and thanks for your attention ;¬)

Essence - Out Of My Mind + Golden Rose - Magic Color n. 307

| | Comments: (11)

How to revamp a "tired" colour? By adding something special :>
I chose this fabulous duochrome lilac-purple glitter by Golden Rose, sent to me by Zygzak in a previous swap.
It's from their Magic Color line, and I see why they call it "magic".

N. 307 is a pretty sheer polish (can't be used on its own), in fact I applied two layers over "Out Of My Mind", but final result is something so so pretty.
It reminded me of a cross between China Glaze's "Blue Iguana" and Sally Hansen's "DVD" from the Ultra HD line, what do you think?

Layered over a turquoise, n. 307 made "Out Of My Mind" a blurquoise (lol) with purple sides. And for me = ♥___♥
This is my favourite picture, in shade, see the colour shift? Even the green of the base °_°

In the sun:

In daylight is more luminous, just like a foil:

Duochrome!

As expected, I get tired of the beetle effect of "Out Of My Mind" (even if it's so beautiful), and I like this mani much more.

Have a nice day/night/whatever and thanks for your attention ;¬)

Swap calls another swap :D

Another little swap arranged with the lovely Zygzak, who's a reader and friend of Sabbatha :>
She saw this post on her blog and immediately fell in love with that green, so she asked me to send her a bottle (plus a couple of Kikos), in exchange of some of my greatest lemmings: oh yes!

Result? I got not only three of my lemmings satisfied, but she was so kind to add three, VERY yummy, extras :D

1) Golden Rose n. 307: purple-blue glittery duochrome, I won't add any further comment :D

2) Sally Hansen's "Purple Pizzazz", if you are here, you know this better than me :D

3) Safari n. 265, GREEN with gold shimmer - but i see some glitters too; she wrote me it's a dupe for China Glaze's "Moonpool" - which I didn't know, but from what I read it's a well known shade...

4) Jumpy n. 143, purple glitter! These little cute bottles are adorable.

5) Sally Hansen's "Garnet Lapis"...

6) ... and "Turquoise Opal" = ♥ ♥ ♥

What else can I say? Just another "thank you" to Zygzak, it has been a pleasure ;>

Have a nice day/night/whatever and thanks for your attention ;¬)
