Sinful Colors - Blue By You

BLUE!

This dates from last summer, and this blue it's perfect for summmertime...

1. It's BRIGHT and vibrant °_°

2. It has the colour of the sea *_*

3. It has aqua shimmer and a foil finish, just like a sparkling plain ocean ♥_♥

King-Octopus ring fits nicely, eh? :D

Don't ask me about how many coats I used, because I can't remember it, let's say the usual two to three?

I love foil-like nailpolishes, they're beautiful even in lowlight or in the evening, so deep ♥

A little bit of every colour

Ok, I'm a BLUE-purple-green girl, but this post will show many more colours than the usual ones you always see in my blog; not only because of multichromes, like the two pictured below:

Then, one day, a birdie sent me a small packet, full of delightfulnesses: Chresy is an italian cheap cosmetic brand (can't find a website, I guess they still haven't one) which is available probably only in a couple of cities in Italy :D, so when Elsa told me she found new nice colours, my inner child started giggling.

From left:

- n. 055, deep blue with pink and blue microglitters *_*

- n. 42, deep and dark emerald sparly °_°

- n. 718, my new love of these months, since that I already own the ones from Pupa and Shaka: indigo blue base with red-goldish shimmer ♥___________♥

- the surprise gift: a mirror-like shimmer midblue from Flormar (n. 431), it's stunning! Almost foily once applied, pity pictures can't show fully its beauty...

I made cap swatches, but I couldn't choose a single pic to show here, so I grab all and made a gif, too bad gif's poor resolution doesn't show up deepness of colours :[
Two coats for every colour.

Next, a batch of small "I-have-to-buy-that-colour"-s: you know, when you don't really need them, but they're not exactly dupes of something you already own, plus they're so cheap...

From left:

- n. 01 "Edward" from the new Essence nail Art Twins, it's more periwinkle in real life...

- again, one new Essence, "Miss Universe"; ok, this is quite similar to Essie "Dive Bar", but not a dupe; ok, I surely didn't need it, but I liked it and I think it would be a tad sparklier. I think.

- one gem I found in those €1 (or $1, for the international readers) stores: Lady Venezia n. A/37, electric blurple base with electric blue shimmer.
This is a small makeup brand which strangely has a website, but it's slowly like a sloth; anyway, there are many different finishes, not the most original colours I've ever seen in my life, but nothing bad for such a small and cheap factory.

Lastly, a jade green from the Spring Kiko collection (n. 423): this one is SO vivid and saturated, jelly base with microglitters!

Swatched here, it's a little sheer, but this not really a big deal for me :>

This Shaka, I've found it in a big clear acrylic cube: ok, it's too fuchsia for my tastes, even if it's colder in real life, and I don't really know if I'd wear it solo on my nails, but... Purply magenta with greenish-gold glitters? MUST TRY IT.

MaiSenzaSmalto swatched this, and seems like green glitters won't translate on nails, but I don't want to surrender, I WANT TO BELIEVE (cit.).

Nubar - Verde

Simple post today, pictures are quite enough for showing you the beauty of this colour:

These are two coats without top coat: perfect fomula, very pigmented, sliding on the nail like oil on the skin <3

Below picture shows the actual effect: I didn't use top coat, but it's so foily it has a mirror appearance!

"Verde" is the perfect bronze colour, you'll have metal coated nails with this nailpolish!

Seems like my haul posts are more successful than my normal posts, eh? :D

Ok, more goodies from, erm, October? November? Can't remember anymore.

Aaaahhh, precious gem on the right!

But let's start from left, as usual...

- Essence "Jacob's Protection", from the Twiliblabla TE; don't care about theme, really care about great BLUES!

- H&M "Antique Gold": looks darker and sparklier than in my pic, anyway, don't really know why I bought this one, it's just that I like old, aged gold... :D

- Astra Holo n. 703: these were free together with a women magazine (...), so I HAD to buy it, because this colour is sooo good and I've never seen these in Milan.

- lastly, THE gem, the nailpolish of the Year(s), The Masterpiece... call it whatever you want, this is Magnetic "Freakin' Violet"!

Looooooong story behind this bottle, many emails to several distributors, even pleading with other nailpolish freaks for buying with me this beauty to lower shipping costs a little, until I got it...

"Freakin' Violet" has an electric dark purple jelly base, green shimmer and those electric blue flakies... Can't stand so much awesomeness :D

Obviously we nailpolish freaks called each other on Twitter for this "women-magazine-with-free-holos" promotion, and I took advantage of the kindness of the lovely MaiSenzaSmalto in order to get another nice holo, the dark teal one, n. 705:

NEW (for me) italian nailpolish brand!

Mi-Ny Cosmetics is fairly new in the italian beauty market, not the cheapest on the Earth, but I've seen some really interesting colours in the displays, so I grabbed some...

There are many many colours available, some new, some already seen, and some which, for my tastes, would have been waaaaaaayy better with or without that particular detail, i.e.: check Gnomagno's last post; n. 251, "I Love Seul" is a great colour, but contains also cheap-looking bar holo glitters, I think they ruined the final effect...

Anyway, my tastes, just remember swatches on the website aren't "real-life" accurate!

Onto my picks!

From top:

- Top5 "Top Violet": I really really wanted this to be a simil-TRUE-jelly nailpolish... No, it's not; I mean, when I bought it I knew it was one of those crystal coloured topcoaters for gradient manicures , but I thought it was pigmented enough... Mmmh, we'll see that in one of my next posts :>

- "Blue Sky": damn, never seen a sky as electric as this varnish!

- "Calla Lily" (lolwut name): I remember at least two or three other greens so similar to this one, I mean in the Mi-Ny store! One green was a little more acid, another one more olive toned, another one more... Well, I know one green lover (maybe two!) who would be so happy to see them in person :D

This one is a forest-dark emerald green, blue based, with an intense metal-shimmer (it makes sense!), bbbbeautiful.

- Holographic Touch "Brown", ahhh, first mistake: this is the same spitting holo nailpolish contained in Shaka bottles.

Didn't take a photo, but I've made my trusty cap comparison and they're literally 

indistinguishable

Just a coincidence that colour chart of both brands (Mi-Ny and Shaka) is the same? Mmmh.

Price per ml is slightly higher for Mi-Ny, but only €0,10 about...

Blue swap!

I think at this point you all know how much I love blue nail varnish, so you won't be surprised while looking at all this BLUE magnifience *_*

The lovely Wing  contacted me because she wanted to taste some italian deliciousness (Shaka holos, anyone? :D)

Since that Shakas are pretty cheap, even if  I'm so close to Donald Duck regarding funds these days, I agreed making a swap with her.

Result? 13 new blues for me!

W7! What a blast, these blues are... so blue!

From left:

- "Metallic Neptune", very similar to Essie "Dive Bar", so I made a comparison:

One coat each.

For me they are dupes: pigments are the same, while Essie's base is thinner, so W7 is better...
I hate when such things happen, I paid €11 for Essie >.<

Whatever, now I can use them without fearing of running out of this colour :¬D

- "Blue Lagoon", AWESOME combination of a blurple base with purple/lilac veins (yes, they're like marble veins <3 ) and tiny spare silver glitter... Quite unique.

- "Blue-Tini": great duochrome glassflecked polish, a tad sheer, but I know it can be used alone (I guess, at three coats) :>

- "Indigo", mmmh, indigo creme? :D

- "Silvery Lilac", it's silver, lilac, and minted too, as you can see!

- Essie "Bobbing For Baubles": ok, this is not a blue, but it's a pure steel grey, it contains a blue-violet hue... I could wear it!

- Nicole by OPI "Baby Blue", slightly dusted light blue creme. I think I can wear it these days, since that we're having grey weather :°°°

- Do I really need to tell you which colour is this? :D

- Bourjois "Bleu Violet": aahhh, this is one of the most sought after colours I had in my WL... BLURPLE jelly, a little more on the purple side than shown in my picture, and I put it in my "cold purples" drawer, but it's more blue than a purple, lol. Make sense, don't you think?

Last, a beautiful gem Wing made by herself: a blue holo!

Look a t the day light section of picture: it's so holo even when under a diffuse light, Wing made a great job <3

Bottle is so tiny and cute I almost don't want to use it :D

Umpteenth (nail)Polish swap :D

Since I've started reading cosmetics blogs, I've always looked at foreign products like something I could never have - and use! -, so I'm very grateful to Sabbatha for giving me trust since the beginning :D <3

Sooo, here's our latest swap, well, this is what I got:

5) NYC n. 140 "Empire State Blue", blue with emerald shimmer *_________* (never seen in Italy, even if we have NYC...) I tried it on paper, it isn't so pigmented, so I know it will be stunning on top of something else too :>

7) Colour Alike n. 445, see swatches here :> These two CA look almost the same above, but they're not, it's just that these colours are always so tricky to represent in pictures... Anyway, n. 466 is greener and more sparkly.

I have to thank her not only for all the nailstuff she gets me, but also for having helped me with Fyrinnae eyeshadows.
Fyrinnae has the best shades, in my opinion, and I always wanted to try them, but I'm in Italy, which means: no shipping to our country (because our postal service sucks in international shippings) (not to mention customs taxes because of cosmetic items, etc...).

So I asked Sabbatha to buy some colours for me (hey, I paid her, don't worry :D ), and she kindly did it <3
Just one flaw: their site is horrible and unreliable: one day it works, the day(S) after is completely off >.<

These are the colours I bought for myself, all full size jars (my hand shown for dimensions):

From top:

- Shenanigans (really complex rusty old gold);

- Bitey Tyrannosaur (acid green with gold shimmer);

- Callipygian (blackened blue base with teal-emerald shimmer);

- Mephisto (almost BEST eyeshadow of all time! Blue base and red-purple-bronze shimmer *____*, check swatches! )

- Parental Advisory (electric PURPLE with pink shimmer).

Closer look, because they're worthy :D

I particularly love that these jars are pretty huge: despite Sabbatha picked samples of these for herself and a friend (this beautiful and VERY talented girl :> ), they're full, they'll last me a whole life.

ITALIANE! (detto alla Totò): se avete amici/parenti/amanti oltreconfine, chiedete di farvi da tramite per acquistare qualcuno di questi ombretti! Non costano molto, i colori sono parecchi, molto particolari anche nei riflessi e si possono sovrapporre a matite, basi colorate, gel eyeliner, etc; in più le dimensioni delle scatoline sono decisamente interessanti.

Bisogna solo avere un po' di pazienza con il sito, il quale sembra essere gestito dallo Stato italiano, poiché funziona a cavolo (alcuni giorni è del tutto offline, altri non fa completare gli ordini, a volte non ti fa pagare, etc.). 

Ma ne vale la pena ;>

Stargazer - n. 305

AWESOME colour, you see?

Clearly it was better in real life, but I think you can see its beauty as well from the pictures :>

One of the best feature of this nailpolish is that both the two colours (blue and purple) are almost always visible, because particles are really reflective.

Application is easy, these are two or three coats (two, with my usual touch-ups in the balder areas), dries normally, I can't say anything bad about this.

Wibo - n. 355 + Essence - Princessorize

Et voilà, how to get a STUNNING colour out of a GREAT one? By adding a sheer little gem!

I mean, do you see the purple I obtained?
It was so... purple my camera almost freaked out :D

That's why "Princessorize" is a HOT pink jelly, a little colder than my picture shows (impossible to catch the exact shade of pink for me), and when you layer it over a blue, like in this case, you get a VIBRANT purple :>

Clearly, all the glitters and little chunks contained in "Princessorize" are way more beautiful in real life, and camera can't picture all their deepness in one shot.

I think the metallic-foil Wibo helped this combo a lot, the blue was visible under neath the glitter layer.

Unfortunately, I couldn't take any pictures in direct sun, and the one above was the only good shot in daylight, but I think you can see pretty well the deepness of this purple ;>

Wibo - n. 355

First of all, let me say you I HATE this new Blogger version, it doesn't work as it should and you have to adjust things (text, pictures) every minute.

Anyway, some days ago I tried this great blue Sabbatha sent me: in the bottle it doesn't show all its beauty...

On the nails, it's a true metallic, almost chrome, nailpolish, I don't have anything with this texture :> 

Maybe is this a true foil nailpolish?

What you see on my thumb nail aren't bubbles, it's just the metallic reflection of this Wibo. So saturated!

These are two, smoooth coats, it's very pigmented and, for what I can remember, it dries pretty fast.

Do I have to repeat that Polish polishes are the best? <3

BeYu - n. 330

A train of favourites lately, but it's not my fault :D

Remeber BeYu n. 330 here? How not to love it?

Mh, grey base filled with duochrome glitters = glassflecked turquoise/pink <3

Even better (as we know well) in daylight *_*

Pink/lilac side shows itself easily, trust me, and less grainy than my pictures.

This is the perfect shade for snowy days, there are such a bright diffuse light you can see all the colours together on your nails!

It's not a light shade, though, because its base is a medium gunmetal grey.

These are three coats; it doesn't dry so quick, it takes a while, but that's ok with a colour like this :D
Very original, don't you think?

Precious gems

Mh, I surely don't refer to real gems in the title, I just noticed that my latest purchases are of the colours of precious and semi-precious stones :>

The Kiko ones are from the holiday collection "Light Impulse".

Well, first of all, let's say they're not super-unique and/or particularly original, BUT:

- maybe my collection is something I can't entirely embrace anymore in my mind, since that Kiko n. 354 is the spitting dupe of Deborah n. 60; ok, I LOVE that colour, so I can consider this as a backup, but while I was browsing the stand I didn't recall the Deborah one AT ALL, I find it pretty worrying :D

- n. 352 looks to me like a close dupe of the Missha green/blue (this one), or the Sephora "Moody Woman": I didn't buy any of these before, so this time I'm ok with it :D
Especially while looking at this picture:

Didn't enhance colours (clearly), n. 352 it's just like that!

Then, the Essences: lately the Colour&Go range got very interesting shades, and after the blues, I picked another two metallic colours, which are not so common, for my experience:

"Rich & Pretty", on the left, is a pale cold gold with a subtle pink reflect I don't know if it's visible from the image, I tried to capture it and I swear it's there :D

"Luxury Secret", on the right, is a warm gunmetal shade: I mean, a gunmetal grey with a touch of antique gold in it, very nice in person!


Last, a comparison: here you have Deborah and Kiko, together with my very last purchase, thanks to Stregalice again :D
An Avon nailpolish, "Violetta Sparkle", so beautiful...

Well, first two are clearly DUPES, look at the swatch on the cap °_°

Fortunately, "Violetta Sparkle" is much darker, more pigmented, a little less glittery and foiled; these are all one coat:

Now I'm ok with them, I can tolerate a dupe/back-up, but at first I thought the Avon too would be a third copycat of Deborah :D
