Essence - Grumpy + Layla - CE52 + BeYu - n. 209 + Pure Ice - Heartbreaker

| | Comments: (5)

Well, when "Grumpy" started to show its bad side (chips :D), I thought about a layering of mine...
This time I only used four nailpolishes!

(indoor daylight)

It was summer and we were having sunny days, so I wanted something complex and full of different shimmers.
Characters pictured below, in order of... application!

- Essence "Grumpy", seen solo here :>

- Layla CE52;

- BeYu n. 209;

- Pure Ice "HeartBreaker".

Layla made "Grumpy" darker and gave it flakies; BeYu made them like lava (I really liked that effect!) and Pure Ice added that lovely green shimmer all over <3

(half shade, half sun :D )

This is another way to use several colours at one time, you know I love sheer polishes and I know they can be combined in infinite ways... Clearly I prefer blues, but hey, here I had RED flakies and I liked it!

(full sun)

See the picture in shade, flakies are just like lava pieces *_*

But all of these colours showed together every time :>

Have a nice day/night/whatever and thanks for your attention ;¬)

L.A. Girl - Flare Dark Purple + Pure Ice - Heartbreaker

One of my favourites, indeed.

See for yourself, "Heartbreaker" is a bloody flamboyant rich nailpolish EVERY nailpolish-addict should own!

These pictures are almost my favourites too, at first I thought I couldn't capture all the colours and the effect I saw with my own eyes :>
Skin is warmer because of early sunlight, during these weeks I'm taking pictures around 7:30 AM...

It can remind you of "Bruise" from Urban Decay, but "Bruise" has a maroon/plum base, and its shimmer isn't so sparkly and vibrant as "Heartbreaker", and it's of a different colour...

Look at the final effect over L.A. Girl "Dark Purple" in full sun, it's really as it appears in these pics!

Daylight, it's a colder light and manicure is amazing as well, if you don't feel the same, it's certainly because of my poor picture :D

"Heartbreaker" it's a jelly blue-aqua base filled with a fiiiiine shimmer which is duochrome from green-teal to a cold blue.
I applied two coats.

Duochrome isn't that visible, I know, but you must consider the base too: a dark sparkly purple which merged so well with "Heartbreaker", together they made the perfect transiction of colours, by chance colour I like :D
Notice how at certain angles teal disappears, and it's mostly blue, pink and purple ♥

"Dark Purple" lasted on me from monday 27th to... Well, now it's 1:25 PM of saturday 2nd july and I've just taken this picture, you see I have only tipwear (and nailgrowth) on some nails:

VERY good hold!
And you should consider I have a total of eight coats (base + three coats of "Dark Purple" + topcoat + two coats of "Heartbreaker" + topcoat) of polishes.

What do you think? If you don't have "Heartbreaker" yet, GO buy it, or steal it, doesn't matter.
I want to try it over all my polishes :D

Have a nice day/night/whatever and thanks for your attention ;¬)

Nail polish number continues increasing...
While I decide if it's a bad or a good thing, here there are the newest buyings:

1) Pure Ice "Heartbreaker"... Yessss, long time lemming, I found it on eBay, it came from USA and, last but not least, I didn't have to struggle with customs! :D

2) Barbara Daly (for Tesco) nail polish, no name or number found, except for a "denim" on the back.
Another eBay find: did you ever search for a non specific brand on eBay? I do, sometimes; I type something like "blue polish/varnish" (or green, or purple) and see what eBay lists.
Most of the times I don't win the auction, lol, but this time I did, and this colour looks promising: is a dusty lavender/light blue - a little pearled - with tiny pink/bronze microflecks, I'll show it better when I'll wear it :>
Little bottle (7ml), but a nice colour indeed.

3) Gosh "Purple Heart": ♥ _♥

4) P2 "Rebel", what a deeeeep blue/purple!

Thanks again to Daph for having sold me last two polishes :>

Then, suddenly Catrice appeared in Milan too for our (my) joy, and I found the last "Dirty Berry" in the stand ^_^

Now, this little plastic bag, can you guess what does it contain and what I'll use it for? * ghghgh *

Last, my very useful nail polish dryers, I know you know which is my favourite :D

EDIT about the holo dust: I want to warn you that seller of that dust increased price per gram :^/
I paid $14 plus $5 for international shipping, now it's $22 AND $9... I'm wondering how many girls of us searched for this pigment right after reading the post on My Lucid Bubble and bought it :D
Business is business, but what a rip-off :^(
